What is Bacterial Vaginosis?

Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is a disease of the vagina caused by excessive growth of bacteria. Common symptoms include increased vaginal discharge that often smells like fish. The discharge is usually white or grey in color. Burning with urination occur and itching is not uncommon.

Signs and Symptoms of BV:

• Vaginal discharge, usually thin and grayish/white in color
• Foul – smelling “fishy” odor”
• Vaginal itching
• Vaginal burning sensation during urination
